Missouri Aquarium Society April 2007 Workshop recap by David Ramsey
After the talk, it was off to Mike Hellweg's fishroom. Overflowing fishroom would be more accurate. Before even getting to the fishroom I have stopped to look at a lot of 40 gallon and larger tanks. Then he opens the door and holy cow, tanks everywhere. Every little nook and cranny has some kind of container with fish swimming around. Racks and racks of tanks, all with fish happily trucking around. A small refrigerator holds containers of whiteworms, a closet houses grindals, microworms and paramecium were somewhere. Mike has the really cool plastic ice cream containers. He plops in a airstone and fish are swimming around. He has all kinds of fish. Bettas, live bearers, Africans, tetras, barbs, catfish, all kinds of regular and rare fish. They all seem to be doing their thing too, with lots of fry scattered around.

Those are some kind of fry all over this ice cream container.
I had hoped to get to a couple of other fishrooms, Jack Heller's in particularly. His is supposed to be the ultimate in automation. And the home of lots of killifish.
